This week’s Venue Spotlight was chosen by Abbie and takes us to Middle Eight Hotel. This hotel sits in the centre of Covent Garden and is just a 2-minute stroll from Holborn underground station.
Previously standing as a recording studio, this hotel has become famous for its fantastic acoustics. Now as a hotel, Middle Eight features 180 beautifully designed bedrooms and 12 suites. Ten of their suites feature gorgeously preserved living walls and one suite has an outside terrace that can accommodate up to 15 people for an intimate standing drinks reception. Also, many of the other suites are large enough to accommodate a small private dinner, boardroom meeting, or drinks reception.
The hotel is environmentally friendly and incorporates sustainable features into their guest rooms. Guests can find bathrobes made from 100% recycled materials and sand timers in the showers so guests can actively reduce their water consumption. To seal the deal, the hotel is currently working towards Gold status in The Green Tourism Award.
The hotel has some fantastic event spaces that can hold up to 450 people for a standing reception. Middle Eight also has a basement level speakeasy that can be exclusively hired for events. The space has its own street entrance and comes with a green room too.

This venue has a relaxed and chilled out vibe yet still offers impeccable customer service. The décor is absolutely stunning and so well put together, it gives the hotel such a luxurious feel. The Sycamore Bar is my favourite space and I absolutely love the leafy ceiling!
